45th Kokborok Day is a festival celebrated in the Indian state of Tripura on 19th January every year to observe the

                                           development of the kokborok language. It is an official language of Tripura.

                                           Kokborok is also the native language of Tripura spoken among the Tripuri community, where Kok means ‘language' and

                                           borok mean ‘people'.



                                           This year Sub Division Block under Kumarghat Unakoti district has also taken initiative to celebrate the 45th Kokborok
                                           Sal. Many government and Govt aided schools were invited to be a part of the celebration.



                                           Holy Cross School Pabiacherra, Kumarghat has also taken part with few numbers of students. The program started at 11.am
                                           where all the students gathered in front of the Gitanjali New town hall. The Rally started from there to Manashi Hall.



                                           Inauguration of the Kokborok day was done by the SDW officers, where cultural events and different Tribal Folk Dance

             Ms. Merry Debbarma            competition were also conducted. The students took great initiative in making the Day a successful one.


                                           It has been a great achievement that the kokborok language is now taught in government schools, colleges and universities.
