he National Voters’ Day has been celebrated on January 25 every year since 2011, all across the country to mark the
Foundation Day of the Election Commission of India, i.e. 25th January 1950. Theme for this year’s NVD 2023 is
Celebration of 13th
T‘Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure’.
National Voters’ Day (NVD)
The main purpose of the NVD celebration is to encourage, facilitate and maximize enrolment, especially for the new voters.
Dedicated to the voters of the country, the day is utilized to spread awareness among voters and for promoting informed
participation in the electoral process.
In our school also this day was celebrated on 25th January 2023 ,with due dignity through various competitions and cultural
events. Sr. Bernadette, the Headmistress of the school addressed the students about the importance and significance of the
day. The program of the day started with a painting competition. Classes-iii, iv & v students beautifully performed solo
dance and solo song under the guidance of
Miss Jaya. Then a quiz competition was
conducted for class-VIII and class-IX
students. Lastly, the pledge for National
Sir. Litan Biswas Voters’ Day was taken by the teaching staff
and office staff under the guidance of
Miss Lalnunsangi Lushai.
